I have been indulging in art this last year and this year; watercolors, pastels, and ink drawings.
When my son sent me a feather mask, I got really excited to give this art a try and now have my ingredients. I will likely begin masks in March. Additionally, I will need to finish using up my supplies for making wall masks. Gee, this is too much fun.
Last April I gave a class in zen tangles at the local art gallery. Two of my students went on to win awards at art shows that year, and one is actively teaching zen tangles now herself....and getting paid! That's me, alright, not sticking with any one thing long enough to make a "name" for myself. Ah well, fun is what is most important after all.
Really enjoying ink and pencil drawing now. funny how backwards that is for an artist. Usually it's recommended we start with drawing and graduate to painting. couldn't do it. Too excited.
